FAQs

How long will it take to get my order?

Orders are picked and sent for shipping on the same day you place your order.  Generally it takes 2-5 business days to receive your order from Canada Post. Orders are distributed based on Canada Post’s service for local, regional, and national locations.  If you live in Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton or cities near these locations you will receive your order within a few business days. As you move outside these locations you may be receiving your order closer to the 5 business day mark.

What does my package look like?

Your order will be packaged in a generic brown box.  The packaging slip will say Technology on the title. This is a discreet way to order online for those who wish to remain anonymous.

What is a Vaporizer?

A Vaporizer is a device used to release the active ingredients of your blends or oils/concentrates without combustion (which creates vapor). This is achieved through either Conduction or Convection (see below).

How is Vaporizing different than traditional methods?

Instead of burning the material, your product is heated at a much lower temperature. This allows one to receive all of the benefits that blends have to offer without the nasty by-products that are released during combustion using traditional methods.

How do I know which Vaporizer is best for my needs?

Although there are many choices, you should consider the following.
  • Will I vape dry herb or concentrate; or both?
  • How frequently do I vape?
  • Do I care about the flavour of weed?
  • Portable Vaporizer or Desktop?
  • Cost of course is important, but picking a vaporizer that is right for you is the most important.

What is the difference between Conduction and Convection vaporization?

With Conduction vaporization, your blend is placed in direct contact with the heating source. On the other hand, Convection vaporization occurs when hot air passes over the blend, but never actually touches the heating element/source.  Think about cooking food in a frying pan (conduction) versus cooking food in an oven where the air cooks your meal (convection).

Is there a smell associated with a Vaporizer?

My simple answer is no.  This is one of the benefits using a vaporizer versus smoking weed.  There is a slight smell that is released upon exhaling (comparable to lightly burnt popcorn), however most people will not recognize this as the traditional skunky smell.

Does my Vaporizer come with a Warranty?

Buying a brand name vaporizer from a reliable site is the best way to ensure you never have to use a warranty.  For each vaporizer, the warranty period and coverage are pursuant to the manufacturer’s warranty policy. Warranties range from 1 year to 10 years with Pax.  We can handle the entire warranty process on some vaporizers, but some manufacturers like DaVinci and Magic Flight request that all warranty claims are processed by them directly. We will assist customers wherever possible. Please email: shop@smokepotcanada.com for warranty information and claims.

How is Vaporizing healthier than traditional methods?

Instead of burning the material, your product is heated at a much lower temperature. This allows one to receive all of the benefits that blends have to offer without the carcinogens and other nasty by-products that are released during combustion using traditional methods.

What is the difference between Conduction and Convection vaporization?

With Conduction vaporization, your blend is placed in direct contact with the heating source. On the other hand, Convection vaporization occurs when hot air passes over the blend, but never actually touches the heating element/source.

Do Vaporizers make any noise?

Most vaporizers make no sound at all. However, some of the forced-air units (Volcano, Extreme Q, etc.) will make a light fan noise when the balloons are being filled or air is passing through the whip.

Is there a smell associated with a Vaporizer?

There is a slight smell that is released upon exhaling (comparable to lightly burnt popcorn), but it’s very mild when compared to traditional methods.

Why did my order come with two packages?

In order for us to provide the best breadth of product in the industry, sometimes we have to source from different warehouses.  Over 95% of our orders will come in one single package.

Do you price match?

We do offer price matching on regularly priced items from original equipment manufacturers.  There are a lot of knock off or re-branded products online, so we will check the website you are referring to.  Send your questions to shop@smokepotcanada.com and we will investigate for you.  It doesn’t hurt to ask!
